MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) is a group that meets to encourage mothers, provides awesome speakers about child & mom related topics, includes crafts, snacks, and discussion time w/ other moms. CHILDCARE INCLUDED!!!!
WHO FOR: Any Mother of a child age 0 - kindergarten who desires to connect w/ other women (and enjoy a little mom time!) WHEN: 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month 9:30 - 11:30 AM COST: $45/person covers the entire year *Our goal is that any mother who desires to come should be able, cost irrelevant. Scholarships are available! WHAT TO EXPECT: Each meeting will include snacks & coffee/juice (sometimes brunch). On the first meeting of each month we'll listen to speakers cover various topics including creative games/crafts for kids, organization, parenting the strong willed child, keys to a successful marriage, etc. etc. etc. On the 3rd Tuesday each month we will do a craft (Yes - mom, you will get time to complete something!!!) and we will have discussion time to talk w/ other moms and find out how others are surviving things like temper tantrums, sleepless nights, potty training, etc. etc. etc. CHILDCARE: We have childcare available to help love on your child, so you can relax and enjoy a meeting. For the safety of our children, our childcare workers will be screened w/ background checks. The children will also be doing age appropriate activities during their time - planned by a child educator specializing in early childhood development! *We most certainly understand difficulties w/ separation anxiety (for both moms & little ones). Our childcare workers will gladly work with your children to help them overcome their fears, and there will also be mentor moms who are willing to help during meetings so that you can actually hear what the speaker is saying - but children are always welcome to join us during the meeting, if the need arises.
